Dr. Larry J. Williams (up)

Dr. Larry J. Williams joined the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University (V.C.U.) as University Professor of Management in August of 1997, and previously he was an Associate Professor and Jay Ross Young Faculty Scholar at the Krannert School of Management of Purdue University (1987-1996) and the Fisher Distinguished Scholar in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at the University of Tennessee (1996-1997). Dr. Williams received his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the Indiana University School of Business and his main research interests involve the application of structural equation methods to various substantive and methodological concerns. Dr. Williams served as the Founding Editor of Organizational Research Methods (ORM), a journal sponsored by the Research Methods Division (RMD) of the Academy of Management, and he previously served as Consulting Editor for the Research Methods and Analysis section of the Journal of Management (1993-1996). He has been a member of the editorial board of Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal. Dr. Williams also has served as Chairperson for the Research Methods Division (RMD) of the Academy of Management. Professor Williams established and currently serves as Director of the Center for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA), an interdisciplinary center devoted to helping faculty and students advance their knowledge of organizational and social science research methods and data analysis techniques.

Among his recent accomplishments, in 2004 Dr. Williams was recognized by the Southern Management Association as an author of 2 of the 6 most highly cited articles in the 30 year history of the Journal of Management. He was also elected in 2004 to be a member of the Society for Organizational Behavior, an international group of approximately 80 leading scholars from the field of organizational behavior. In 2005, Dr. Williams was selected to be the recipient of the 2005 Distinguished Career Contributions Award by the Academy of Management’s Research Methods Division. In 2008, Professor Williams was recognized as one of the 150 most-cited authors in the field of management (1981-2004) in an article published in the Journal of Management.

 

Dr. Jeni Burnette (up)
Assistant Director for Scholars Program

Jeni L. Burnette received her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University in Social Psychology. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on self-regulation and methodological issues and analytic techniques. Specifically, she studies how implicit theories influence forgiveness in romantic relationships and motivation in dieting, and also examines model fit in structural equation modeling. She is currently the program coordinator for the Center for the Advancement of Methods and Analysis and is in the psychology department at the University of Richmond.

 

Evandro Moreno (up)
Assistant Director for Technology and Product Development

Evandro Moreno is a Ph.D. student in Information Systems at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business, where he graduated from the Master of Information Systems program in 2003. Evandro received his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1991 and his M. A. in Social Psychology in 2000, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Evandro’s research areas of interest are Information Systems Security, Digital Rights Management, and E-Business. He has served as a marketing and strategic planning consultant to several small businesses and governmental agencies in his birth country, Brazil.
